Mentality of the media

On Friday 12-14-2012

Our world was shaken by the shooting of kid's and adults being killed  in an elementary school Newtown, Ct.
The media coverage was no help either (again).
They jumped on this story!
As they did the one's before!

From the days when JFK was assassinated.
To the shooter in the University of Texas perch in the Universities clock tower.
At that time!
The media took it's time in gathering the information about it.

Until the time President Reagan was shot!
To present day! The media has scrambled just to get, attract, keep views, listeners tuned in.
All for the sake of numbers a. k. a. ratings!

When the name of the shooter was announced!
As Ryan Lanza!
Word spread!!!!
Then! When it was discovered the shooter was not Ryan was Adam Lanza!
It was not until Ryan posted on Facebook that he was not the shooter!
Then! The media changed course!
Hours later!
Even the State troopers did not know who the shooter was!

It was not until the next day!
When the dust settled!
And the fog cleared!
That just about everything came in to place.

From what we have seen and heard so far!
Why is it!

That I see us living, working, learning, shopping, playing in a protected environment?
From almost not being able to walk down the street!
To driving a cab!
To driving even a bus!
Without someone wanting to do something for what so-called reason!
Who knows???????
